Apartment Building Evacuated In Westchester After Retaining Wall Collapses A building had to be evacuated on Wednesday night when a retaining wall supporting a concrete parking slab collapsed. First responders were dispatched to a Landscape Avenue building in Yonkers shortly before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, police said, when the concrete collapsed on a hill above the building. The wall collapsed on Landscape Avenue onto Bruce Avenue, though no injuries were reported. Retaining Wall Collapses, Tumbles Into Roadway In Ossining Main Street in Ossining is still closed to traffic following the collapse of a 40- to 50-foot-tall  retaining wall that tumbled into the roadway, bringing part of a business along with it. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. Monday at 100 Main St., near the heart of downtown Ossining, said the Ossining Police Department.
