Alleged Gang Member Sentenced For Westchester Shooting
An alleged gang member will spend more than a decade behind bars for a shooting in Westchester. Bronx resident Dahjauntay Douglas, 22, was sentenced to 12 years in state prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to first-degree assault in July for his role in a shooting in Mount Vernon last year. On Oct. 4 last year, Douglas fired two shots on Gramatan Avenue, near the West Sidney Avenue intersection in Mount Vernon, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., said. One of those bullets struck a passenger in a moving vehicle in the area.…
