Erratic Driving: Man Charged After Woman Killed In Crash On Busy Hudson Valley Roadway A woman died after her car was hit by a vehicle operated by a man allegedly driving erratically in the Hudson Valley. The crash took place in Rockland County in Central Nyack around 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 on Route 59 in the area of Broome Boulevard. According to Det. The incident took place around 7 p.m., Saturday, March 7, in the area of North Middletown Road in Nanuet, said the Clarkstown Police. 31-Year-Old Man Charged In Rape Of 11-Year-Old Girl A 31-year-old area man has been charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl more than two times. Hector A. Chacon-Diaz of Central Nyack was arrested Thursday by the Clarkstown Police Department for the rape of the young girl who is a relative, said Det. Peter Walker, spokesman for the police department. The alleged incidents took place between 2015 and 2018, Walker said.  Chacon-Diaz was charged with felony predatory sexual assault against a child and felony course of sexual conduct against a child, he added. Warwick resident Gillian Jeffords pleaded not guilty to the felony charge at her arraignment in Clarkstown Justice Court, where an Order of Protection was also issued, barring her from the Jess Kaplan School of the BOCES campus in West Nyack, police said.
