New Barnes & Noble Coming To Westchester: Here's Where Iconic bookstore chain Barnes & Noble will soon open a new location in Northern Westchester. The mega-bookseller has signed a lease to open a new store in the former Walgreens space at 55 South Moger Ave. in Mount Kisco, according to Beth Vetare Civitello, Co-Executive Director of the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce.  The 13,700-square-foot store will take the space as of Friday, Aug. 2, Vetare Civitello added.  In a statement, the Chamber of Commerce said the store's arrival would help Mount Kisco become a "hub of Northern Westchester."  "Our belief…

Covid-19: New Poll Reveals Outlook On Economy From Chambers Of Commerce Leaders Nationwide Although 90 percent of Chamber of Commerce executives said that business conditions in their municipalities have worsened, only 55 percent expect improvement before the end of 2021, according to a new poll by the Siena College Research Institute. Road Closures Scheduled During Yorktown Festival, Street Fair There’s going to be dancing in the streets in Yorktown over the weekend, leading to road closures in the area as the community celebrates the 10th annual Chamber of Commerce Festival and Street Fair. Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble said that in an abundance of caution and to keep parade participants and spectators safe there will be road closures.
