Westchester Man Nabbed For Bail Jumping A Bedford Hills man was nabbed for bail jumping after a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to show up to court. Denny Ray Frederick, 59, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 5, by the Yorktown Police after the Westchester County Police found he was wanted on an active warrant. According to police, Frederick was wanted for failing to appear in Yorktown Court on a previous charge, the Yorktown Police said. Once he was processed by Yorktown,  he was turned over to the North Castle police where he was also wanted on an active warrant.

On Oct. 25, 2016, Putnam County resident Irving Balsley, 44, was arrested in Yorktown for petit larceny, police said. On June 1 the following year, Balsley failed to appear in court, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Hudson Valley Man Admits To Burning Cat, Kitten To Death An Orange County man has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and bail-jumping after he burned a kitten and a cat to death in a cage. Dee Jay Atkins, 55, pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated cruelty to animals and second-degree bail jumping, confirmed the Orange County District Attorney's Office.  During his plea, Atkins admitted that on Aug. 6 he caught the cat and kitten in a cage, poured lighter fluid on them and then lit them on fire, killing both, the DA's Office said.
