Third Bear Sighting Of The Week Reported In Westchester For the third time this week, a black bear was seen taking in the sights of Westchester. A black bear was spotted at the Boulder Ridge condominiums in Greenburgh off Jackson Avenue, Sprain Road, and Ardsley Road, on Thursday, June 11, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said. Bears have also been spotted in Hastings and Scarsdale this week. It is unclear whether it has been the same bear making the rounds or different bears. Crash Causes Days-Long Verizon Outage In Greenburgh Verizon customers in Westchester were left without phone, Internet and cable after a driver crashed into a pole in Greenburgh, impacting Edgemont residents.
