Westchester Man Convicted On Weapons Charges For Defaced Handgun
A Westchester man was found guilty by a jury of possessing an illegal weapon.
Richard Johnson, 37, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty on Monday, Dec. 2, following a jury trial in Westchester County Court on multiple felony weapons charges.
Johnson was found guilty of one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., announced.

A third suspect is facing charges for his role in a beating in Westchester that led to the death of a man over the summer.
Yonkers residents Feliciano Perez Bautista, 31, Jorge Arce Villano, 26, and a third unnamed suspect who remains at large, have been indicted by a Westchester County grand jury for their roles in the death of Efigenio Jose Rojas in July.

A Northern Westchester man admitted to his role in the fatal soothing of a man last summer.
Peekskill resident Demetrius Bogan, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing 22-year-old Khalil Lyons in Peekskill in July, 2018, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced.
