Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck By SUV In Hit-Run Long Island Crash Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash near a Long Island intersection that has left a woman seriously injured. It occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.18 in Glen Cove. A dark-colored SUV struck the 40-year-old victim who was crossing southbound on Pearsall Avenue just west of Walnut Road, Nassau County Police said.  The driver of the SUV fled the scene, according to police.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital and is currently listed in critical condition, police said. Patient Killed After Drunk Driver Crashes Cadillac Into Ambulette On Long Island, Police Say A patient being transported by an ambulette was killed after the vehicle was hit by a Cadillac driven by a drunk driver on Long Island, police say. The crash happened on Sunday, Sept. 1  at 11:45 p.m. in Glen Cove. An ambulette was traveling southbound on Walnut Road with its lights and sirens on, transporting a male patient for difficulty breathing, Nassau County Police said.  A 1997 Cadillac STS, operated by Alvaro Gutierrez-Garcia, 27, of Locust Valley, was traveling eastbound on Forest Avenue and struck the ambulette at the intersection of Walnut Road, causing the ambule…
