Duo Accused Of Attacking, Severely Injuring Man During Robbery On LI Two men were arrested and accused of attacking a man on Long Island and causing severe injuries during a robbery. The incident happened on Fulton Avenue in Hempstead at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, April 22, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Man Charged With Attempting To Rob Long Island TD Bank Branch, Police Say A  man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Long Island TD Bank. Tyrell Guthrie, 33, of Hempstead, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 7, in Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Guthrie entered the TD Bank, at 252 Peninsula Blvd., approached a teller, and demanded money before fleeing the bank on foot without any proceeds.  No injuries were reported. Guthrie was apprehended by police a short distance away from the bank. He was charged with robbery and issued an appearance ticket returnable to appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
