Isaias: Power Now Completely Restored On Long Island, Pseg Says
It took a week, but PSEG Long Island is claiming power has now been fully restored after Tropical Storm Isaias barreled through the region.
PSEG reported late on Wednesday, Aug. 12 that the company has restored power to all 420,000 customers affected by Isaias, though other outages that were identified during the cleanup process still remain.
As of 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, PSEG is still dealing with 763 other outages that were impacting 2,117 of its 1,162,455 Long Island customers.
PSEG said it is actively restoring power to the remaining customers.

Some Long Islanders could be without power until early next week as PSEG continues working to repair nearly 20,000 outages three days after Tropical Storm Isaias wreaked havoc on the East Coast.
PSEG utility crews were working to repair 19,270 outages that were affecting 202,398 of their customers on Long Island as of 9:20 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7 as they continue clearing trees, limbs, wires, and debris.

Hundreds of thousands of Long Islanders remain in the dark following Tropical Storm Isaias, and some may not be able to turn the lights on for several days or even a week as PSEG works to restore power to more than 300,000 customers.
PSEG Long Island was working to repair 20,322 active outages that were impacting 308,910 of its 1,162,375 customers as of around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, with no clear end in sight for the company.
According to PSEG, it has restored power to more than 220,000 customers, with more than 2,000 crews in the field.

Isaias New Update: These Long Island Communities Most Affected By Power Outages
More than 300,000 Long Islanders remain in the dark a day after Tropical Storm Isaias ripped through the region, toppling trees and power lines.
PSEG Long Island was responding to 13,478 active outages as of around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, which were impacting 320,769 of its 1,162,375 customers.
Of the 320,69 outages, 197,383 were impacted in Suffolk, with 141,608 still without power in Nassau. An additional 4,629 customers in the Rockaway Peninsula were also reporting outages.
