Not Over Yet: Damaging Winds Could Bring Down Trees, Cause More Power Outages The rainfall from a strong storm system that swept through the area has moved east, but damaging winds remain. Winds out of the west at 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour during the day on Friday, Nov. 1 could cause more power outages. Tens of thousands in the region already got power knocked out during Halloween evening and the overnight.
