Crews from the Sayville Fire Department and Community Ambulance were dispatched to an Alfan Drive home in Sayville shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4, where there was a report of a fire that had broken out. Two Injured After Explosion At Suffolk County Business Two employees of a Long Island gas company were seriously burned during an explosion. The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 8, at Paraco Gas, located on Corbin Avenue in Bay Shore, said the Suffolk County Police. The explosion occurred when the two employees were filling propane tanks when a small explosion, police said. Facade Collapses At Suffolk County Apartment Complex Bricks fell from a facade of a Long Island apartment complex, damaging seven vehicles. The incident took place around 11:18 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, at an apartment complex located at 191 Hawthorne Ave., in Central Islip, said the Suffolk County Police. Seven vehicles were damaged.  Officials said there were no injuries.  The Central Islip Fire Department also responded. The Town of Islip Fire Marshal and Building Inspector was notified.
