Suspect Nabbed For Fatal Hit-Run Port Jefferson Station Crash Police have apprehended a suspect in a hit-and-run crash on Long Island. The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday, June 2 in Port Jefferson Station. A man was crossing Route 112 eastbound, south of Rose Avenue, when he was struck by an unknown SUV heading southbound on Route 112 that fled the scene, Suffolk County Police said. The man was then struck by a second southbound vehicle that remained at the scene, according to police. Driver Nabbed Months After Deadly Hit-Run Crash In Ronkonkoma, Police Say Months after a 59-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Long Island, the suspected driver has been arrested. Qiulong Chen, age 35, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested Thursday, March 2 in connection to death of Joseph Biggica, according to Suffolk County Police.  A passing driver found Biggica lying unresponsive on Remington Boulevard at around 6:20 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2022. He was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
