7-Year-Old Upstate NY Boy Charged With Rape, Reports Say A 7-year-old boy in New York has been charged with rape, according to multiple reports. New York State Police said that the unidentified boy in St. Lawrence County from Brasher Falls, located about 15 miles east of Potsdam, has been charged as a juvenile delinquent with third-degree rape after being charged on Tuesday, March 23. The incident reportedly happened over the Thanksgiving holiday. After being temporarily taken into custody, the child was cited for the rape and released to his parents. According to the New York State Department of Transportation, an average of 65,000 deer-related accidents take place within the state per year, a majority taking place during the animal's mating season in October through November.
