Labor Day Weekend BWI, DWI Crackdown Announced For Suffolk County
There will be a comprehensive boating and driving while intoxicated crackdown, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart said in a joint announcement. County police will patrol for both, driving while intoxicated and boating while intoxicated offenders on Suffolk County roads and waterways. Police Highway Patrol, Motorcycle Section, Selective Alcohol Fatality Enforcement (SAFE), and Marine Bureau, as well as precinct-level patrol officers, will be part of this county-wide enforcement effort.
