Long Island Babysitter Left Toddlers Home Alone, Police Say A Nassau County babysitter is facing child endangerment charges after leaving two infants unattended at her home, one of which suffered several injuries that required a trip to the hospital, police said. Hempstead resident Rosa Blanca Landaverde Ayala, 45, was babysitting a 1- and 2-year-old boy at her Fulton Avenue home at approximately 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, when she left to go pick up additional children.
