Suspect From Suffolk Nabbed For Separate Robberies At Long Island TD Bank Branches Police investigators on Long Island busted a bank robber who targeted two TD Bank branches. Suffolk County resident Joseph Mann, age 49, of Wyandanch, entered TD Bank on Old Country Road in New Cassel shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5 when he passed a teller a note demanding money, Nassau County Police Robbery Squad detectives said. Long Island Man Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle While Crossing Street In Hit-Run Crash A Long Island man who was crossing the street died after he was struck in a hit-and-run crash on Christmas Day. It happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25 in Queens near 114th Street and Rockaway Boulevard, police say. Officers responding to a 9911 call discovered Ainsley Dalrymple, 67, of Hempstead, lying between two parked cars, unconscious with severe head and body trauma. He was rushed to  Jamaica Hospital Medical, where he was pronounced dead. The vehicle involved was a silver or gray Toyota truck. The investigation is ongoing.
