On Wednesday, April 17, the New York State Lottery announced that a third prize-winning Powerball ticket had been sold at a store in East Rockway.
The winning ticket, worth $50,000, was purchased at Rockaway Petru, located at 411 Atlantic Avenue.
Powerball winning numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69, with the red Power Ball drawn from a second field of one to 26.

On Thursday, April 11, the New York State Lottery announced that the Oyster Bay company “Groovy D Limited Liability Company (LLC)” had laid claim to a Powerball Powerplay prize for matching the first five Powerball numbers drawn months earlier.

On Wednesday, June 28, the New York Lottery announced that Greg Schwab of Old Brookvillen claimed his $1 million Powerball second-place prize from a February 6 drawing.
Schwab’s winning numbers were 5, 11, 22, 23, 69, and Powerball 7.
He received the prize as a one-time lump sum payment and received $651,000 total.
