19-Year-Old Killed, Another Man Injured In Single-Vehicle Stony Brook Crash One man is dead and another is hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash on Long Island. The wreck happened at around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, in Stony Brook, near the intersection of Stony Brook Road and North Country Road. Suffolk County Police said a sanitation worker called 911 after a GMC vehicle with two occupants struck a tree and overturned. Emergency crews found both men inside the vehicle and unconscious. Man Hits Officer With Van After Attempting To Break Into Long Island Gas Station, Police Say A 38-year-old man is accused of striking an officer with a van after attempting to break through the glass doors of a Long Island gas station. Patrick Kelly, of Forest Hills, Queens, was arrested in Westbury at 2:15 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, the Nassau County Police Department reported. NCPD said officers saw Kelly using an unknown object to shatter the glass doors of the Speedway Gas Station, located at 800 Jericho Turnpike, and they activated emergency lights and sirens.
