Parolee Squatter Threatens Riverhead Homeowners With Gun, Police Say
An ex-con out on parole is accused of threatening two Long Island homeowners with a gun. The incident happened at around 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, in Riverhead, at a residence on Lewis Street. Riverhead Town Police said two men called 911 saying a homeless man was attempting to squat in their home. When they confronted him, an argument broke out and the man reportedly brandished a handgun. Parolee Shoots Through Ex-Girlfriend’s Central Islip Front Door, Police Say
Police are asking for help in locating a prison parolee accused of shooting through the front door of a woman’s Long Island home. The alleged incident happened at around 1 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at a Central Islip home located on Irving Street. Joseph Bunce, age 35, fired multiple shots through his ex-girlfriend’s front door, according to Suffolk County Police. Nobody was injured in the shooting. 'Preppy Killer' Robert Chambers Now Living In NY's Hudson Valley
Robert Chambers, also known as the infamous "Preppy Killer," is now living in the Hudson Valley following his recent parole from prison. Chambers, age 56, was released from the Shawangunk Correctional Facility in Ulster County on Tuesday, July 25, and is now residing in Rockland County, according to the state Department of Parole. On Wednesday, May 4, Jose Osorio of Babylon broke into a home in Babylon through a basement window and stole multiple items, including a key fob for a vehicle, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney.
