It happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23. According to detectives, defendant Eros Almonte, 17, of Baldwin was operating a stolen 2013 Dodge Avenger with a 16-year-old boy in the passenger seat when they were involved in a crash with another vehicle that occurred in front of 3149 Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside, Nassau County Police said.
