'Enraged' Customer Admits Slashing, Disfiguring Bouncer At Huntington Bar
A bouncer at a Long Island bar is permanently disfigured after an angry customer slashed his face after being denied entry. Darieo St. Leger, age 34, of Islip Terrace, pleaded guilty to one count of assault in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Nov. 28. According to prosecutors, it was around 12:40 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2022, when St. Leger and the bouncer began arguing outside the Ivy Kitchen and Bar in Huntington after the bouncer refused to let him inside. A traveler was arrested by police after Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers spotted a handgun and loaded gun magazine concealed inside a pair of sneakers packed inside a checked bag. The incident took place at LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday, Nov. 1. A woman was arrested after officials said she tried to board a flight at LaGuardia Airport with a loaded revolver. The Louisiana woman was brought into custody on Monday, Nov. 28, after she was prevented by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers from bringing the .38 caliber revolver handgun through the security checkpoint. Transportation Security Administration officers stopped a Fairfield County man from carrying a handgun onto his flight at LaGuardia Airport. The Darien man was detained on the morning of Monday, Jan. 10, after a TSA officer saw the .38 caliber handgun on the checkpoint X-ray machine's monitor, the TSA announced.
