Long Island Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree A 61-year-old local man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Wantagh State Parkway. It happened around 2:45 p.m.  Wednesday, June 3 on the southbound side near exit W6 in Hempstead, state police said.
