ID Released For Suffolk Man Killed In Police-Involved Shooting
A man shot dead by police on Long Island after allegedly threatening officers with a rifle has been identified. Suffolk County police said Jeffrey McClure, 26, of East Northport was shot and killed around 10:08 p.m., Sunday, June 7. According to homicide detectives, officers were called to the home at 23 Grant St. for a domestic incident. When they arrived, McClure allegedly pointed a gun at officers who then exited the home.
