Man Faces Felony Charge After Throwing Kitten From Moving Vehicle In Southampton, Police Say A 43-year-old man is facing a felony charge of animal cruelty after police say he threw a kitten out of a moving vehicle in Southampton. It happened on Thursday, July 4 at about 8 a.m., when the Southampton Town Police received a call describing the incident involving the vehicle, which was headed east on Flanders Road near Spinney Road in the hamlet of Flanders.  The vehicle was located a short time later by patrol officers.  Southampton Town Police Department detectives responded to the scene and transported Hector Herrera Castillo to police headquarters.
