'Horrific': Mom, Boyfriend Murdered 5-Year-Old Boy Found At Brentwood Home, Jury Finds A Long Island jury has convicted a mother and her boyfriend of murder for beating the woman’s young son unconscious and leaving him to die at a relative’s house. Valerie Owusu and Emmanuel Addae, both 28 and from Queens, were found guilty of second-degree murder Friday, March 22, in the death of 5-year-old King Owusu following a two-week trial in Suffolk County Court. Couple Accused Of Murdering 5-Year-Old In Brentwood A couple has been arrested for allegedly murdering a 5-year-old boy on Long Island, police announced on Friday, April 15. The incident was uncovered in Suffolk County in Brentwood on Thursday, April 1, 2021, when a 911 caller reported a 5-year-old was unresponsive and unable to move.  The child was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, said the Suffolk County Police.
