In response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into an unnamed business located in Coram at 625 Middle Country Road. As a result, Jessica Mesa Ortiz, age 37, of East Elmhurst, Queens, was charged with: Prostitution, a felony; Unauthorized practice of a profession, a misdemeanor. It happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 in East Farmingdale. A pedestrian was crossing Route 109 at Route 110 when he was struck by a 2022 Ram tow truck traveling westbound on Route 109, Suffolk County Police said.
