Long Island Doctor Charged With Illegally Prescribing Opioids A 74-year-old doctor has been arraigned on a 54-count indictment charging him with allegedly selling opioids and amphetamine prescriptions on Long Island. A lengthy investigation into several opioid overdoses last year led to the arrest of George Blatti, a doctor in Rockville Centre who allegedly prescribed opioids to patients without examining them.
