Girl Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Pickup Truck On Long Island Roadway A Long Island teenager was hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck. The 15-year-old girl was riding her bicycle on Bayville Avenue in Bayville at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, when she was struck by a 2020 Dodge Ram head-on before the driver turned left onto Dickerson Avenue, police said. The teenager suffered head trauma and was airlifted by a Nassau County Police helicopter to a local hospital, where she is currently listed in stable condition.
