Woman Rescued From Burning Vehicle In Fort Salonga
A woman was rescued from a burning vehicle after a crash overnight on Long Island. The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, in Fort Salonga. Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers responded to a motor vehicle crash after three good Samaritans pulled the woman from the vehicle. Suffolk County Police said the 33-year-old woman, a resident of Northport, was driving a 2021 Hyundai Elantra northbound on Bread and Cheese Hollow Road when she swerved to avoid an animal in the street just north of Pulaski Street.
