It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Wyandanch, at 83 E. Booker Ave., Suffolk County Police said. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim in the backyard with a gunshot wound. The man, Frederick Jackson, age 37, of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead. Police Search For Man Accused Of Stealing $1,100 In Merchandise From Huntington Station Store Police have asked the public for help locating a man accused of stealing merchandise worth about $1,100 from a Long Island store.  The man stole a rug and a Roomba vacuum from Target in Huntington Station at about 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.  The store is located at 124 East Jericho Turnpike, SCPD said.  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. The incident began to unfold at 3:45 p.m., Monday, Jan. 3, at the Citibank branch in East Northport, located at 710 Larkfield Road, said the Suffolk County Police. According to detectives, the man entered the bank and handed an employee a note threatening violence and demanding money. The teller complied and the man fled on foot. At about 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, a woman stole more than $100 worth of clothing from a JCPenney in Bay Shore, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers.
