Local Newspaper In Business For 123 Years In Westchester Suspends Publication An independent newspaper that has been covering several Westchester municipalities for more than 120 years says it has suspended publication. The Scarsdale Inquirer announced on Wednesday, Jan. 16 that it would be suspending publication as it seeks to improve its financial standing.  In its announcement on social media, the newspaper, which was founded in 1901, wrote that it is looking for "solutions to bring us back to financial sustainability."
