Metro-North New Haven Line westbound service experienced delays of 45 to 50 minutes during the height of the morning commute on Monday, June 17. The delays, reported just before 8 a.m., were due to single-tracking as a result of wire damage between Bridgeport and Stratford, the MTA said. Eastbound service operated from Grand Central Terminal to Bridgeport. Substitute bus service was provided from Bridgeport to New Haven due to wire damage between Bridgeport and New Haven.

First Woman Named Metro-North President Catherine Rinaldi has been named the first female president of Metro-North Railroad.  Rinaldi, has served as acting president of Metro-North since July 2017, and previously was Metro-North’s executive vice president, beginning in 2015.  On Wednesday, Feb. 21 she was officially named president.  She replaces Joe Giulietti who resigned last July after three years leading the railroad.
