The family of a teenage girl struck by a hit-and-run driver in Warren County is trying to track down the culprit with help from social media.
Peadra, 15, was hit by a gray Honda HRV while crossing Main Street between Man Skirt Brewing and B & R Uniform Services in Hackettstown around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, her father, Nelson Cardona, told Daily Voice.
The driver — described as a blonde woman in her 30s or 40s — fled the scene after the crash, Cardona said. Her vehicle is pictured below in a Facebook release from Hackettstown Police:
Peadra has since been released from the hospital but will require surgery, which is based on insurance approval that will come from tracking down the driver, Cardona said.
Meanwhile, Man Skirt Brewing issued its own alert about the unfortunate incident:
Anyone with information or surveillance footage of the incident is asked to contact the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3300.
