Police in the Hudson Valley are investigating after shots were fired into a home. The incident occurred in Orange County around 1 a.m., Friday, July 19, on Grand Avenue in Middletown. According to Lt. Jeffrey Thoelen of the Middletown Police, at least one round (bullet) entered a residence on Grand Avenue. He added that no one was injured, but the incident is being investigated. A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly stealing from a Home Depot and then crashing into two police cruisers to escape before crashing. Orange County resident Clarence Hulzenga, age 48, of Highland, was arrested in the town of Newburgh on Wednesday, July 10 in Newburgh. According to Lt. Three people were killed in a head-on highway crash in the region. The Greene County wreck happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, on Route 23 in the town of Windham. Sheriff’s officials said a Buick SUV was heading eastbound on State Route 23 when it collided with a westbound Chevrolet pickup truck near the intersection of Cross Road. 2-Car Crash Shuts Down Busy Mahopac Intersection, Sends Person To Hospital
A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries. The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac. According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital.
