Westchester Man Charged In Animal Cruelty Case Involving Toy Poodle A Westchester County man is facing an animal cruelty charge after a hospital asked local law enforcement officials to investigate the improper treatment of a dog in his care that broke its leg and was forced to amputate its leg. Michael Burguiere brought his toy poodle, now named Charlie Brown, to a Westchester animal hospital in July last year after if fractured its right leg, officials from the SPCA said.
