Window Smashed, Property Damaged At Coffee Shop In Westchester: 'NOT Okay' Authorities are searching for those responsible for breaking into a Northern Westchester coffee shop and damaging property.  The break-in happened on Thursday, April 4 at around 11 p.m., when a window was smashed at The Farmer's Grind and Copia in South Salem at 475 Smith Ridge Rd.  According to the owners, whoever broke into the building damaged personal property. New Canaan Woman Turns Herself In On Animal Cruelty Charges After Dead Dogs Found In Fairfield A 31-year-old New Canaan woman who was president of an animal rescue group and is facing animal cruelty charges after police discovered numerous dog remains inside of crates has turned herself in to police. The Fairfield Police Department received a complaint of animal cruelty and responded to 37 Prince Street on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Officers discovered several carcasses that were believed to be canine remains.
