New Canaan Woman Turns Herself In On Animal Cruelty Charges After Dead Dogs Found In Fairfield A 31-year-old New Canaan woman who was president of an animal rescue group and is facing animal cruelty charges after police discovered numerous dog remains inside of crates has turned herself in to police. The Fairfield Police Department received a complaint of animal cruelty and responded to 37 Prince Street on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
