Fundraiser to Benefit Port Chester's Hope House

Hope House, a Port Chester non-profit organization serving people with mental illness, is holding its annual fundraiser June 8. The 16- year- old organization provides employment training, education services and food to more than 200 community members. Hope House is a part of Human Development Services of Westchester, a non-profit that serves more than 1,900 people throughout Westchester. The services Hope House provide are especially important as government battles over cutting Medicaid and Social Security,  said Anna Kobelka, a director of Hope House. "The need is always here," she said. "This is a place for people to come when they have no place left to go." Raffle ticket sales will go toward Hope House. Prizes include a flat screen television courtesy of Lieberts Royal Green Appliance Center in White Plains, a golf weekend for two at Doral Arrowwood in Purchase, a $50 lunch gift certificate to La Panetiere French Restaurant in Rye and more.
