Judge Orders Port Chester To Restore Staffing For Rye Fire Station PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – A state Supreme Court judge ordered Port Chester to temporarily restore paid staffing to the Rye Brook fire station Tuesday, according to lohud.com. The ruling came just after Rye Brook filed a lawsuit against Port Chester for violation of their shared fire services contract, lohud.com said. Port Chester made the decision to eliminate its paid fire department last week, facilitating the lawsuit, reported lohud.com. Motorists are asked to avoid the route of the race between 8 and 10 a.m., and a number of roads will be closed in the morning: Quaker Road southbound from Roaring Brook Road to South Greeley from 8:05 to 10 a.m. Quaker Road northbound between Seven Bridges Road and Hardscrabble from 8:05 to 10 a.m. South Greeley Avenue from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

Thomas Crowley, 34, and Cody Krug, 23, were arrested on charges of robbery and petit larceny, TWC News said. The robbery occurred Tuesday night; just $200 was stolen since the owner of the mini-mart was able to stop one of the robbers from taking the cash register, reported TWC News.
