Overnight Fire Leaves Five Families Displaced In Yonkers This story has been updated. YONKERS, N.Y. – A Friday morning fire in Yonkers left approximately three dozen people homeless. Authorities said the fire occurred about 12:30 a.m. behind a multifamily home at 165 Linden Street on two floors in the rear of the building. A total of five families and 28 people were displaced, according to the Yonkers Fire Department. A tenant and six firefighters were taken to the hospital. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation, according to the Yonkers FD, Yonkers OEM and the Red Cross provided assistance.

Danbury Caregiver, 69, Charged With Sexually Assaulting Autistic Man DANBURY, Conn. – A Danbury man was arrested by police this week after the completion of a long investigation lasting months, according to the Danbury News-Times. Gordon Fuller, 69, was charged with first and second-degree sexual assault, the News-Times said. Fuller was charged after it was determined that he abused an autistic man while working as a caregiver in August 2015, reported the Danbury News-Times. Man Killed When Struck By Two Vehicles On Route 80 In Passaic County PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. – A New York man was killed early Tuesday when struck by two vehicles on Route 80, according to NJ.com. According to state police, 58-year old Naishadh Patel from Franklin County, N.Y., died while attempting to cross Route 80, NJ.com said. Patel was hit around 12:15 a.m. after getting out of a Mercedes that was pulled over on Route 80 East, reported NJ.com.
