Hot and humid conditions Thursday will usher in locally heavy, gusty thunderstorms late Thursday in much of the Hudson Valley.
Flash flooding is also possible, according to the National Weather Service.
Thursday will be partly sunny with a high in the upper-80s. But with the humidity, the real-feel temperature will soar to between 95 and 100 degrees. (See chart above.)
These conditions will make strenuous activity difficult, if not dangerous, during the hottest part of the day, according to AccuWeather.com.
The storm chance starts around noontime and increases through the afternoon and evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible during the day Friday. It will be cooler with a high in the lower-70s. Showers and storms become likely Friday evening, mainly before midnight.
The stormy weather will clear for the weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and warm, with a high around 85. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high in the low- to mid-80s.
