Road Rage: Orange County Man Rams Car, Threatens Driver, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly ramming the rear of a vehicle and threatening the driver with an edged weapon following a road rage incident.
The incident took place in Westchester County around 2:25 p.m., Friday, July 21 on I-87 in the city of Yonkers.
According to Trooper Tara McCormick, an investigation determined that Ruben D. Luciano, age 48, of the village of Florida, in Orange County, rear-ended a vehicle following a road rage incident, in which he reportedly exited his vehicle and threatened the other driver with an edged weapon.

Woman Hit With 31 Tickets After Fleeing Attempted Traffic Stop In Area, Police Say
A Hudson Valley woman who allegedly refused to stop for state police was issued 31 traffic tickets including one for driving impaired.
The incident took place in Orange County in the hamlet of Deerpark, around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 31.
According to state police, troopers spotted a 2020 Ford Mustang traveling on Peenpack Trail in Huguenot, in violation of several traffic laws, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
When troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Orange County resident Brittaney Brush, age 29, of Huguenot, failed to stop, Nevel said.

Hudson Valley Man Charged With DUI Following Crash, Police Say
A Northern Westchester man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after losing control of his vehicle and hitting an embankment.
Christopher Sweeting, age unavailable, of Yorktown, was arrested around 11 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 15 in Cortlandt, following the crash on Bear Mountain Bridge Road, said. Trooper AJ Hicks.
According to Hicks, Sweeting was traveling across the Bear Mountain Bridge Road when he crossed the center line and hit an embankment near Route 9.
Sweeting, who was injured, was transported to Westchester Medical Center, he added.

Man With Suspended License Nabbed With Drugs, State Police Say
A 44-year-old man was arrested on numerous drug and traffic charges after being stopped by state police.
Ulster County resident Eric Tischler, of the Town of Ulster, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 16, after being stopped in his 2003 Audi A4 by state police for a traffic violation, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
During the stop, the trooper found that Tischler was driving on a suspended license and that he was allegedly in possession of numerous drugs, including cocaine, Alprazolam, and Lorazepam, and concentrated cannabis contained in a vaporizer cartridge.

Man Nabbed After Taking Troopers On I-684 Chase, Crashing Vehicle in Northern Westchester
New York State Police nabbed a man for fleeing from police following an attempted traffic stop on I-684 in Northern Westchester.
Ady Casiano, 32, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 3, after troopers from the Somers barracks attempted to stop Casiano on I-684 in Lewisboro, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
Instead of stopping, Casiano fled southbound getting off onto the Saw Mill River Parkway. State Police patrols, however, terminated the pursuit due to the reckless operation of the suspect, Hicks said.

Woman Drove Wrong Way On I-84, State Police Say
A 36-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving in the wrong direction on I-84.
Vanessa Alejos, of Newington, was arrested around 11:22 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in Hartford County, by Connecticut State Police for driving the wrong way on I- 84 in East Hartford, state police said.
Troopers were alerted to the wrong-way driver by callers and were able to track down and pull over Alejos near Exit 56, they said.
Alejos was charged with four counts of construction zone violations, failing to comply with fingerprinting and interfering with an officer, state police said.
