An 11-year-old girl was killed and numerous others injured when a driver allegedly crossed into another lane hitting two vehicles and then struck a fourth head-on, police say. The crash took place in Orange County in the town of Woodbury around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2020 Honda Accord, operated by Yeraldo Roa, age 34, of Port Jervis was traveling west on Route 6 when he crossed over into the westbound lane striking two vehicles traveling east on their passenger side, a 2019 Infiniti SUV and a 2017 Nissan N20. 22-Year-Old Woman Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Minor In Hyde Park
A Hudson Valley woman has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor under the age of 13. Dutchess County resident Michelle Betley, age 22, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 17 for predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. An investigation by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation determined Betley engaged in predatory sexual assault against a victim under the age of thirteen, Hicks said. Man Killed In Crash Between Car, Motorcycle In Area
A 58-year-old man is dead after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in the area. It happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 in Orange County at the intersection of Route 209 and Route 80 (Neversink Drive) in the town of Deerpark. An investigation revealed that a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling south on Route 209 making a left turn onto Route 80 when it was struck by a 2014 Harley Davidson that was traveling north on Route 209, state police said. A 44-year-old high school mathematics teacher in the Hudson Valley has been charged after traveling to New York City for the purpose of meeting a 15-year-old girl, state police said on Wednesday.Police said they were made aware on Friday, July 27 that a resident of the town of Wallkill had recently traveled to the city for the purpose of meeting the teen.
