Woman Critically Injured In Single-Car Crash In Hudson Valley A 75-year-old woman from the area was critically injured after crashing her 2002 Mazada Tribute into a stand of trees. The crash took place in Ulster County around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13 in the area of 3780 Route 32 in Saugerties. Man Accused Of Setting Fiancé's House On Fire In Area A man from the region has been charged with allegedly intentionally setting his fiancé's home on fire. The fire took place in Ulster County around 1:45 a.m., on Saturday, June 22 in Saugerties. When Saugerties police officers and firefighters from the Saxton Fire District arrived on the scene they found a single-family home engulfed by fire, said Chief Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police. One Killed In Crash Involving School Bus In Area One person was killed during a two-vehicle crash between a school bus and a dump truck in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14 in Ulster County, on Route 9W in the town of Saugerties. The driver of the dump truck suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. Man Arrested For Aggravated DWI After Crashing Into Tree In Area A man was arrested for aggravated DWI after crashing his vehicle in a wooded area. Martin Cody, 62, of Palenville, in Greene County, was arrested in Ulster County on Friday, Nov. 20 by Saugerties Police following the crash on SR 32A, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra. Cody was arrested after Saugerties Police responded to a reported vehicle crash, said Sinagra.
