Man, Teen Charged In Death Of Man Found Lying On Roadside In Hudson Valley
A 38-year-old area man and a 17-year-old have been charged with alleged manslaughter in connection with the death of another man who was found dead lying on the side of a roadway.
Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, of the town of Saugerties, and the teen, were arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for the Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties.

Area Man Nabbed In Stolen Utility Van, Police Say
A man from the region was busted for allegedly having a utility van that was reported stolen the week before.
The arrest took place in Ulster County on Sunday, July 31 in the town of Saugerties.
Jeffrey D. Traver, age 39, of Saugerties, was arrested after police received information that he was in possession of a utility van that was reported stolen on Monday, July 25, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
Officers responded to the area of Route 32 and located the stolen utility van, occupied, in a driveway, Sinagra said.

Drunk Driver Nabbed With Mushrooms, Pot, Police Say
A 28-year-old man ended up in handcuffs for DWI after police saw him allegedly run a stop sign, and during a traffic stop found mushrooms and marijuana.
Dillon A. Gilbert, of Acra, in Greene County, was arrested around 5:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, after officers saw him run a stop sign on Route 32 in Saugerties, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
