The incident took place in Orange County around 11 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at 11 p.m. at the Wallkill Rest Area off I-84 in Wallkill.  Upon arrival, troopers found a 2013 Honda Civic parked in a handicapped parking spot with a flat tire. State Trooper Injured In Hit-Run Westchester Crash Police are investigating after a New York State trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash overnight. It happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties in the village of Port Chester. State Police Vehicle Involved In Hudson Valley Crash A New York State Trooper received minor injuries after being rear-ended by another vehicle while in traffic in Westchester. The crash took place around 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, on I-287 westbound in White Plains when the trooper was sitting in traffic and was rear-ended by another vehicle, said Trooper Tara McCormick.
