Man Nabbed In Hyde Park For Threatening Police, Cops Say
A Hudson Valley man was charged with making a terroristic after allegedly repeatedly calling a police department and making threats of violence, police said.
Dutchess County resident Michael A. Cavagnolo, 48, of Hyde Park, was charged on Tuesday, March 5, with making threats against the town of Hyde Park Police, said Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
According to Watterson, the Sheriff's Office was requested to investigate and found that on several occasions, he threatened to shoot officers and destroy their facility.

Fentanyl Dealing Dutchess Duo Nabbed By Task Force, Police Say
Two fentanyl dealers were nabbed in the Hudson Valley in separate busts following an investigation into drug sales in the region.
On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force arrested James Scott, age 35, of Poughkeepsie for the criminal sale of a controlled substance, said Sgt. Adam Harris, of the task force.
The Dutchess County Drug Task Force had actively been investigating the sale of fentanyl in the City of Poughkeepsie, this investigation led to the arrest of Scott, Harris said.

36-Year-Old From Dutchess Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Hyde Park
A 36-year-old was killed in a rollover crash in the region.
The collision took place in Dutchess County around 5:15 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 10 in the area of 537 Salt Point Turnpike in the town of Hyde Park.
According to Chief Robert Benson of the Hyde Park Police, Tyler J. McEnroe, of Millbrook, was driving a 1997 Subaru Hatchback when he lost control, overturned, and was partially ejected.
McEnroe, the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, Benson said.
