A former Hudson Valley resident has been charged with 17 counts of alleged unlawful surveillance and possessing a sexual performance by a child following an investigation that included the US Department of Homeland Security. Police have arrested a Rockland County man who they said was responsible for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 77-year-old motorist on the Garden State Parkway a year and a half ago. Christopher Forrest, age 26, was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash resulting in the death of Dutchess County resident Howard Perlman on June 17, 2021, according to records obtained by Daily Voice. A man has admitted to torturing and killing his former girlfriend’s two pets inside her Hudson Valley home. Matthew Savinovich pleaded guilty in a Putnam County Court Tuesday, April 26, to two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, one count of torturing animals, and one count of attempted burglary. ID Released For 32-Year-Old Man Killed In Orange County Crash
A 32-year-old man killed during a two-vehicle crash in Orange County has been identified. Bergen County resident Joseph R. Farina, of Mahwah, was killed around 7:20 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, following the crash on School Road in the town of Monroe, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, Patrick J. Early, 67, of Warwick, was driving a 2013 Acura TL west on School Road when he was involved in a collision with a 1996 Toyota Avalon traveling east being operated by Farnia. Farina was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
