Man Charged With Groping Multiple Victims At Bard College In Red Hook: Police A 32-year-old man faces charges after allegedly groping numerous victims at a college in the Hudson Valley, police said.  Columbia County resident Nathan Holmes of Gallatin, age 32, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 24 for allegedly groping victims at Bard College located in Dutchess County in the hamlet of Annandale-On-Hudson, New York State Police announced.  According to authorities, Holmes' arrest resulted from an investigation into two separate incidents at the college in which victims were sexually groped in public.  Holmes is not a student or staff member …

More Than 100 Afghan Students To Attend Bard College About 100 students are set to relocate from Afghanistan to continue their studies at a Hudson Valley college. Bard College, located in Dutchess County, announced plans to accept nearly 100 students from the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul at its Annandale, Simon's Rock and Berlin campuses. The college said 70 students were accepted to the Annandale and Simon's Rock campuses so far. Five students have arrived, and more students are set to arrive in mid-January. Dutchess Gets $2.2 Million For Water Projects DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The state is helping Dutchess County improve its infrastructure and protect its land.  The county was awarded $2.2 million from the state Department of Environmental Conservation for three water quality improvement projects. Rhinebeck Man Arrested For DWI Coming To Aid Of Family Member Also Charged A man ended up in handcuffs for DWI after coming to the aid of a relative who had been arrested after crashing his truck in Red Hook on Thursday while driving drunk, according to Red Hook police. Rolando Lopez, 21 of Rhinebeck, was arrested around 9 p.m. after crashing his pickup truck into a telephone pole at the entrance to Bard College on Route 9G, police said. When police arrived they found Lopez had hit the pole and crashed more than 100 feet down an embankment, police added.
