13-Year-Old Caught Carrying Loaded Handgun In Area, Police Say A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly walking down a street with a handgun in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County on Saturday, July 30 in the city of Port Jervis. The teen was apprehended after officers responded to a report of a teenager dressed all in black in possession of a handgun in his waistband walking toward Church Street, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office. Man Admits To Assaulting Police Officer In Area An area man has pleaded guilty to assault on a police officer in connection with an incident where an area officer was seriously injured.  Orange County resident Guy Dixon, age 38, of Port Jervis, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Feb. 10, during the jury selection phase of the trial, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. As part of the plea agreement, Dixon will receive five years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in April.
